>>2535862Of course! Yui makes everything sweet and awesome! Here's some summer Yui for that reason!
Yeah, I can imagine learning it by ear brings a whole new level of satisfaction! And you probably get more in touch with the music that way too in a whole new dimension, or at least develop a certain sense for it - like the kind of thing where people feel someone plays with "soul" rather than just robotically copying notes. If that makes sense! And already now, I feel like I can at least sometimes make little alterations when I see tabs where something sounds a bit off to me. And as you develop, you just get better and better at that.
Overall, I think it's totally something that's worth practising more, and I'll try to find some easy stuff to work with, within my level of skill, at least to play around with it at least!
Anything in particular you've learned by ear that you're happy about?
I haven't learned all too many songs, really. Mostly what I'm doing now is trying to get better at the songs I've already learned - Fuwa Fuwa time (show version), The Kids aren't alright (Offspring) and Killing in the Name Of (but not the solo) are the songs I've learned that I'm most happy about, I'd say!
How about yourself?
