>>2160030I set my goal at being able to say really basic stuff like "this is that" or "what is where" just basic grammar and questions so i could understand how to formulate sentences and read what i was learning like particles and while i was doing that i picked up stuff like "my name is" and "where is this". Then i went onto the vocab and kanji, since they kind of come hand in hand.
