As for your examples, they're accurate because they're being played on hardware that is designed exclusively for that one specific game with an OS who's sole purpose is to run that game. A mobile game has to run on a wide variety of systems, so the performance is going to be highly dependent on how your phone's hardware and OS handle the features that the game requires.
