I’ve been reading the Legend of the Galactic Heroes novels over the weekend, and reflecting on the KyoAni fire, as well as the Homura fan art in this thread. The amount of talent in the anime industry is just staggering. To take ideas and mere descriptions and create entire visual set pieces, coupled with cinematography, and so much more is really remarkable. I’m so glad I got into anime as a medium. The depth of artistic ability on display with even average shows astounds me.
