Especially if you don't have an instrument you play already; but even then, if you feel guitar speaking to you it may be the right choice - this was the case for me moving from piano to Yui! Seeing the way you described the Go Go Maniac solo it sounds to me like you really wanna get one! And as the others said, take your time with it and do it as you feel comfortable and you'll have so much fun with it that things will go really smoothly! That way you'll have something fun to do, and playing an instrument is brain-healthy too so that's just more reasons to get into it!
Remember that everything that is easy has once been hard; it's the same with guitar, so just give it time and you'll love it!
