Time to stop being nervous about this and just post.
This is Marie. She is an Inkling, a species of humanoid squid, from the game series Splatoon; specifically, she is a Firefly squid, which is her namesake in Japan (Hotaru-ika). She is a pop idol, singer, dancer, and secretly a special field agent that helps protect the city of Inkopolis from outside threats. Marie is a part of the pop idol duo called the Squid Sisters, and she performs alongside her cousin (not sister despite the name of the duo) Callie. Marie's an introverted, reserved, and laid-back girl, who is also lightly teasing and sarcastic. Underneath her sarcasm and teasing, she is genuinely supportive and caring, even if sometimes she has trouble showing it. She's also a huge dork who can be quite silly at times, and her smile and crooked grin are stunningly cute and very precious.
>>3502676Marie's cousin Callie is an optimistic genki girl and she's a good influence for Marie. I think I'd have to be a pretty bad person to not get along with her. I'd also probably get along with her grandfather, and her protégé Agent 4, who is a similarly excitable girl. As for other friends, well, we don't see too much of them. She may not even have many due to her withdrawn nature.

As for Marie being an artist, an official image shows her as an artist, but it's up in the air whether or not she's an actual artist or if that was just a promotional advertisement thing she did as an idol, especially since she was Team Science in the NA Art vs. Science Splatfest. However it goes, it'd be worth it for being able to go sightseeing with her.
