>What do you think that would be different about her?You see, the answer to this one is hidden in plain sight. I have said many times that OoT Sheik is the most "Sheik-like" Sheik out there. To me, this is her in her most "pure-from" since it is the form I fell in love with.
Now what makes this Sheik different than the one in HW if the one in HW didn't remember her time in OoT?
To understand this, you need to understand why Sheik acts the way she does in OoT. I am referring to the game, not the manga, since her characterization is a bit different there.
If you remember, Sheik acts in a very unique way. She talks with a lot of prose, articulation, and metaphors. She seems almost doubtful that Link will be able to accomplish the Hero of Time legend. As time progresses and Link saves more and more Saints, she gets more emotional, positive, and in one cutscene, you can see her acting genuinely happy. You can tell that she is gradually gaining hope and eventually gets pretty confident in their victory. (I could go a bit more in detail about this, but this is sufficient for this explanation).
Sheik doesn't act this way in OoT because that's how she was created. No. Sheik was created 7 years prior and had to endure an entire life of living in hiding, fear, hope, and losing of hope. That would explain why she talks the way she does, why you can definitely hear sadness in her theme, and why she has little hope when you first meet her.
If Sheik does not remember those 7 years, can you see how her personality would change? Even if Zelda was similar in HW?
Now you could make an argument that there is evidence that she doesn't remember in HW or that she does remember in HW. There are conflicting little bits of story. For example, Sheik does not speak with her usual prose like she did in OoT. Would that be evidence that she doesn't remember? Maybe. (Cont.)
