So it dies with him, so there's nothing more to make after he gives out. NGE and EoE were out of his control. Damn near created a whole religion around itself. A cult following to say the least. Just like Gendo. Gendo wanted to bend Rei to his will and make Her do his bidding. He tried to control something that was out of his control as shown in EoE. Seems as if the same is hapenning with EVA and Anno. All he has to do is say that Rebuilds are "Canon" and the common breed of EVAFag will consume it like the good subhuman that it is. I'm talking "willing to castrate themselves if Anno requests it" type of mentally ill. Basically the "Yes-Men" of EVA fans.
