Throughout the entire game I thought Yuri was the one, even[spoiler:lit]/especially[/spoiler:lit] once she started acting all creepy, but Monika's insights, devotion and meta-game really got to me. I might have initially misjudged her as the popular normie girl, but that's not the type to start a literature club. Monika also turned out to be no less intelligent than Yuri (who actually wrote the worst "poetry" from an irl perspective), and far more ambitious. They also somehow both perfectly resonate with two overlapping beauty standards I acquired at different points in my life.
But those eyes...
