I'm just starting a rewatch. I usually skip episodes 2 and 3 since Maka is featured so it's been a few years since I've seen them. There's a scene (that's definitely not in the manga) in episode 3 where Soul and Blackstar are trying to figure out who took the mission to the pyramids and they end up asking non-zombie Sid. Obviously it's not cannon but is there anything cannon that explicitly makes this impossible?
It occurred to me that the first 3 bits of the manga aren't "chapters" and that the manga chapter 1 is actually episode 4 and the way Maka is drawn is significantly different (she basically looks like a loli and has the bigger coat in the first bit of volume 1). Is it possible that there's a significant timelapse between episode 3 and 4? Or the DtK manga bit and chapter 1? Would there be any other implications to this?
