Plenty of the people who play have never/almost never been flirted with, so they might not see it as an annoyance especially if the character is cute. I'd also argue she's pretty funny, especially in the school trip club scene.
Additionally, Persona 4 has imo the fiercest competition for "best girl in the party" compared to the others, purely for how much extra characterization is done
