Clearly had at least a slight variation to the dead mom backstory, since she uses a doll as a handpuppet to talk to herself with, and instead of going to college she became part of the European Air Force and reached rank of Captain, and those are likely the main factors for her differing personality to the main Asuka.
No fucking idea how a 13 year old girl becomes a captain though.
