As soon as the focus changed from human relationships to aliens and space wars, everything instantly went to shit and the one thing Nishigori could have done to still save the show by giving Hir02 a perfectly happy ending he didn't do.
I'll cherish the memories of these past six months and I'm still thankful this series was made and that I got to watch it, but I fear I won't be able to get rid of that bitter aftertaste.
Anyway, it was a fun ride. Thank you to everyone who posted in these threads, I'm glad we got to experience this show together, my fellow darlings.
