>>3480037No. Sadly I am not lying. Emilia is a character that was neglected by her author. Every other character was given room to grow organically, Rem especially. It really isn't fair to compare Emilia to Rem. While Emilia was locked into a set 11 Arc development cycle so virtually has zero development compared to rest the cast, this is personally my conjecture on why she has zero development as there is no way other Tappei could just forget to give her development. So Emilia sits there and does nothing while the Cinderella character Rem steals the show. Emilia seems to sit there and do nothing alot. What did she do in Arc 2? What did she do in Arc 3? What did she do in Arc 4? What does she do in Arc 5? Nothing. Nothing but be a damsel in distress. What even is Emilia's character arc? There is virtually no difference in how she acts in Arc 1 and in Arc 6. And with that what even is her personality? Kind and gentle? What type of kind and gentle person would just sit by and let the villagers get slaughtered. Oh wait. Not just sit by and let them get slaughtered but instead try to runaway while they all get slaughtered while you let a crippled person cover your retreat.
I think I am going to change my opinion. Emilia gets more love then she deserves. Emilia gets alot of fan art which is probably all she's good for.
