Bikko/ビっ子 made her debut appearance as the main character in a doujinshi called "Kesson Shoujo" by Yoshida On, or better known as [ROMANTIC FOOL since 1995], back in 2004. She had potent lasting power in the waifu threads of pre-Reddit imageboards, especially 4chan and 420chan.
Fun Fact: 420chan loved Bikko-san enough that they made her one of the main faces of their /nc/ board, along with Two Yuri Stoners and a Mentally Challenged Jigglypuff. Most boards there had an anime girl mascot. /weed/ had TCC-tan, /wooo/ had /wooo/-tan, and /smoke/ had Bikko.
