>>3740833>yeah I don't mind the slower pace, I'm just worried that plot points won't be resolved.I have similar feelings, but I have faith in tkmiz. Some anons said that it's just a plot-less SOL and that expecting anything to come off it is foolish, but I believe that tkmiz wouldn't start plot points only to ignore them, I think tkmiz has a plan with SS. With that said, I don't think that SS will suddenly turn into a super involved dramatic story, I just think it'll still be mostly surreal SOL, with little bits of story woven in, I think we'll probably learn about Shimeji's backstory, probably stuff with Sis and god-loli, but I doubt it'll turn into a matrix like situation with them escaping the simulation.
>but if it is meant to be the afterlife/their consciousness surviving in a computer I really wouldn't like that. One idea anons seriously considered is that maybe SS is a simulation run by the ai from SSR and that the Yuu and Chi inside SS are just NPCs based on the appearance and personality of Yuu and Chi from SSR from when they met ai-chan (the world inside the simulation could be running considerably faster than the "real" world of SSR, i.e. running before or while the ai dies), if this were the case I wouldn't have a problem with it, for me it wouldn't invalidate the end of SSR, since they aren't the actual real Yuu and Chi, plus this ties SS and SSR together well, Shimeji and the others might just be humans from the past in SSR made into programs (remember, we saw Shimeji among the photos inside SSR during the submarine chapter)
With that said I hope SS isn't a literal afterlife, that would feel weird considering the end of SSR.
I suspect tkmiz will leave it intentionally vague, as much as I think tying SS and SSR together would be cool, I doubt it'll happen, so they'll probably be just cameos, little things for the fans and probably for tkmiz himself. SSR also left many things vague and that worked very well, tkmiz will probably take the same approach.
