Second, the function of a general approaches reddit as the thread number increases. This is inevitable. All generals on every board turn into a group of circlejerking, blogposting, off-topic ball of repetition and will always be shit. Forcing a thread to live indefinitely and archiving all past content is when you know you've crossed the line, as they fly in the face of 4chans core structure that demands content live on based on how firmly it is able to stick in the minds of the posters.
Finally, I'm pretty sure /s4s/ are the only one who still care about the shitty doge meme, barring reddit and the like, but their whole thing is shitposting and pretending that it's ironic and that somehow makes it better. /biz/ might use it because of dogecoin, but the rest of the boards don't use it that much anymore, and thank god for that.
