In the case of what other people would think, they wouldn't even think she was underage in the first place. She looks older enough to the point where multiple people have questioned her on whether or not she's actually should be in middle school. Not only even that, but Misaki is also mature and wise well beyond her years. Kids are forced to grow up really quickly in Academy City, after all.
However, if Misaki had aged in real time, then she'd be around... 24-26? Which is older than myself anyhow.
