D.Va animated short tried to frame her as being all traumatised and woefully serious about the conflict. Sure those are real things she'd deal with, but it doesn't reflect her character AT ALL. She's a meme-spouting, trash-talking, unapologetic gamer bitch first and foremost, and NONE of that was present in the short. Blizzard is fixed on making all the characters deep and remorseful, but that's not what makes them likable at all. Make them fun and goofy, like they are ingame.
