The first album - and the moment on me writing this - that I've included is The Monad of Creation by the Australian Funeral Doom Metal band Mournful Congregation.
The lyrics on that particular album reference - I think - a being that is identified as a mother of sorts who disappears into the moon and is being searched for by the protagonist of the story.
There are also lyrics speaking of a great sea that will weep again and flood the earth, a coming rebirth, a cycle of life and death and the womb of the eternal.
The music itself is a expliciently melodic with various uses of background vocals, lead guitars, juxtapositions of almost hopeful longing and despair and variations in tempo.
I'd love to hear your suggestions.
