Both are from Britain/Not!Britain
Both are incredibly talented at what they do.
'Both' are magic.
Both had an innocent colleague or closer be enthralled by....something or other(Now I will concede that given our differing viewpoints, equating Arthas and Amelie is not ideal, BUT given what Arthas did when he came home...) and proceed to just shit over everything.
Both committed Treason of admittedly wildly varying severity in the name of peace between two violently opposed races.
And both of them got screwed for it.
The complication lies in the fact that Jaina's demons were part of 3 different factions, she never hated Arthas, her Brainwashed colleague/friend didn't whack her Mentor, and she was also Royalty. However the point is that both of them sacrificed nearly everything for peace, and some Warlord wants to/did destroy said peace. I worry because Jaina's Big Boss moment was BAD, stabbing defenseless soldiers to death while laughing bad. Almost instakilling her own Winston(In the sense Thrall is also an otherwordly guy, essentially raised by the one kind human, who became unlikely friends with 'the goodest one') because he was 'in the way' of Magical Nuke Tsunami bad.
History repeats and all that...
And yeah, fair enough, just...no Emily, unless absolutely, 100% necessary? It's like my one....button(Except for Doomfist...and Moira...and the entire Overwatch team....and Doomfist again). Essentially the thing that escalates things from General Kenobi! to Order 66.
Being friends is good. I wish the OW team could do that with the community again.
