Absolutely. Most people find the beginning pretty slow, though, and if you find yourself thinking that I'd encourage you to wait; the pace definitely picks up about halfway through. I'd also say you should pick up the VN (the original, not Elite) over the anime, despite it being a very good adaptation. Just be warned that the other adaptations of the SciADV series are pretty atrocious all in all.
