It's because she's brat who enjoys teasing her friends but know when to get it together as the squad leader. Besides that, she can handle herself pretty well in a fight. Maybe solo fight but teamwork is paramount in a post apocalyptic world where vampires are in the streets. She also lost her sister, her family is corrupted but she does her own thing with that lovely smug. But that's just me senpai
