It is quite different than the original as the others mentioned but there's a lot of callbacks to the movie, which is kind of nice. If you can get over how different Yuki is, I think you'll be fine. I'm not very far in but with what little I've seen, I've enjoyed it. It's fun and fucking cute out the ass. However, I'm surprised at how low the rating on MAL is (not that it matters)
