Naturally that would make it easier to avoid the denser areas, but avoiding it completely would be impossible or extremely rare. Nanachi wouldn't be able to just plow through, not to mention further caution would be needed to avoid the dangerous fauna. And furthermore, having to carry Mitty the entire way would cause even more fatigue besides the whole bleeding out of every orifice.
