I think the Kyoko/Sakura pairing is too far fetched, going by the series alone. Yeah I get that a lot of the fans enjoy it and so more art etc has been developed from that. But I stand by my opinion (and that's all it is, my own opinion) that they have very little chemistry in the series. That one scene in Rebellion was very sweet, but I do believe that was brought on for fan service alone.
