Ana saw plenty of action despite ostensibly being second or third in command, so Lena could be a Captain and still see fieldwork alongside her colleagues. Uprising heavily suggests that Jack saw a lot of promise in her and wanted her to get a chance to prove it, so I like to think that she would have done well if things hadn't gone pear-shaped so soon. Heck, that ceremony picture we discussed a few threads back pretty much confirms she was on a level deserving of recognition alongside the founders despite having at most just two years of service. With a proper career of service and experience behind her, who knows what she could do? Yes, I also highly doubt Reinhardt would ever willfully retire. Which is why you may or may not like what I'm about to say. If I was in charge, I would totally kill Reinhardt off. Not soon, and not pointlessly, but toward the end when the stakes are at their highest. No quietly withdrawing from the fight or lingering on and waiting for age to claim him. I would have him go out in a blaze of glory doing what he loves in defense of something worth dying for when it matters most, just like Balderich before him. I feel like that is the most appropriate way for his career to end. Also, "Chronal Buggery" would be a great name for a time travel-themed punk rock band.
That picture is one of my all-time favorites. I love how Reaper's -mask- is smiling, and I like to think they're both whistling. Also, I don't mean to ignore you, I've just had a lot of things stealing my attention lately.
