They say in the old days, samurai nuggets were hired to protect the valuables of rich people of Japan. So many were hired, in fact, that the "samunugs" eventually became organized and powerful. Even moreso than the government of Japan, so they made their own military government in the late 12th Century. The leader would be addressed as the "Shonug", who would hold more power than that of the Emperor of Japan for several centuries. The Samunugs and Shonugs of yore have been immortalized in the history of Japan.
