I also had my first contact with Love Hina somewhere around 14 (was in junior high back then). To be honest i was looking for some hentai to watch, and somehow I found Love Hina Sim Date RPG. After playing a bit i was curious about it so I found anime and manga. Now I'm 23 and still like to read it. I also watch anime from time to time.

And yes, mecha tamas were cool (sometimes), but totally unnecessary. Manga had a lot of good scenes that hadn't been used in anime. But on the other hand we have something "new" (12 yrs old anime/manga) in the story.
