Mexican carrying is iffy in pants, let alone just tucked under a belt. The gun wont go off or anything, but its always slipping around, and liable to fall out.
As for the gun itself, an excellent choice. The 1911 hasn't stayed in constant use for more than 100 years for nothing. A lot of /k/ommandos get butthhurt over 1911's because they thinnk they're outdated or some such. This is utter tripe. The design is fine, plenty reliable, and f you can hit what you aim at, it'll get the job done just fine. As Revy so wisely said (pardon my paraphrasing), "When are you idiots going to realize that with these things (guns) its all about where you shoot, not what you shoot"
