Others could be Haruhi
Hyouka
Kokoro Connect
FLCL
Korean Deskcar (Kore wa Zombie)

Some of these like Kokoro or Hyouka slightly bank on excitement rather than smiling, if you will. Find something to get excited for and that will generate smiles. Kokoro and Hyouka had me losing my shit weekly when they aired (not very long ago).
