I mean, it makes sense in away. Considering the conspicuous lack males in the world of GuP and the Nishizumi style of "fuck the weak and go for the throat" it seems likely that Nishizumi Shiho wouldn't bother wasting her time with the inferior half of the species and just use science to make genetically perfect superior offspring who aren't burdened with the genetically inferior Y chromosome.
