However, it has been explicitly stated time and time again that the "r" becomes an "l", officially. It does not make common sense, everyone knows this. Everyone is aware of it.
It actually makes more sense when you think about it for a second that "Holo" is like "Hologram" and since Holo is a deity who is not normally seen, it makes sense. I don't know if that's the actual reason for the name, but that is how I make sense of it.
