What's the point of handing someone a love letter. Is the receiver supposed to read it right then and there? At that point why is the written part used? That seems silly. Taking it away to read later is odd as well. It cute, but I mean, handing it directly seems kind of pointless. It would seem letters are most effective being left in a cubby or something.
