Her mom still blah blah blah spoilers and none of them ever got her professional help. Like I know its easy to simply dismiss her actions as just immaturity, but at some point you'd think one of them would think "You know what? I think she has some serious mental problems."
After the anime's big reveal you realize, that not her just being adorably quirky, that is a mental defensive mechanism being done in response to trauma. Maybe it's cause I'm American and we get therapy and medication over feeling gloomy on rainy days, but at some point I would've gotten her a therapist of some sort. At the very least doing something other than just push her on another family member
