>the girls were only present for their own routesThis is flat out wrong not sure how anyone gets these ideas. Kud+futaki as a room mate has you see kud dealing with her stuff with kanata, she even swaps into the really depressed version of herself present in her route during it.
There are girls, like komari and mio, who are triggered by riki and couldn't happen otherwise. But kud kurugaya and haruka are definitely living their routes in every version.
like i'd said jsut above, she's got futaki in the routes where she's not with riki too, really i like kanata so much after seeing how much of a difference she made to kud.
