I can do this as long as I need to until you accept that it's perfectly fine to discuss things on /c/, mod-kun. We weren't hurting anybody, and we were posting on-topic images.
>>2218365>>2218364>>2218362>>2218361>>2218358I actually like some of the threads on /vg/ a lot, to be honest. I mean, sure, all of the threads have some shared issues by virtue of being generals, but I really enjoy some of them. In essence, every thread is it's own individual board (Hell, some of the generals get more posts than some of the full, actual boards) with it's own individual way of doing things and in-jokes like that. It's kind of difficult to compare /sc2g/ to /gsg/ or /wotg/ to /esg/.
A lot of them have shitposting problems (Not gonna pretend like they don't) but very few boards on 4chan don't have shitposting problems. Hell, even /out/ of all board has shitposting problems (That saltwater vs. freshwater rivalry, holy god). But some of the threads are really enjoyable, I think, if only for all of the retarded jokes they make out of their game or game franchise or genre or whatever.
Also, there's been some pretty good projects born out of the threads I frequent. /gsg/ has consistently been involved in modding the games in question, making mods that, as far as I'm concerned, are better than most other mods out there for those games. /rlg/ regularly plays in the DCSS tournaments together, and there's a nice sense of camraderie whenever those come around. Playing WoT with the /wotg/ guys was tons of fun when I still did. And seriously, you can't forget the retarded jokes people make out of their games.
Also, this came out of /gsg/. So yeah.
