My actual concern that really is the whole "call it quits" after graduation. His point was that, yes, the underlying theme is that they can't go on with out each other, and she brings out the good in him and so forth. Pretty much the arguments as to why Kirino be best grill, or at least the necessary girl to win. I already agree before hand, mostly because that was the whole point of the show (as he describes as being the underlying theme, so same shit), and I like forbidden love and all that.
I'm assuming his explanation for the brief ending was that Kirino tried to hard to get over Kyousuke, but just ends up coming back, so this "lovers then back to siblings thing" was just mirroring that, and we should expect them to come together again? And that the kiss on the cheek implied that too?
If that's the case I suppose it should suffice, and I do suppose it makes it all the much more memorable, but unfairly because of the confusion.
