It's got a blend of SoL and plot episodes, both of which upset some groups, but which is exactly what they did in season 1. It's also got some yuri stuff with Deko and Nibutani that always elicits a huge reaction from the anti-yuri patrol, but which is pretty minor in the larger scheme of things.
One of the biggest issues people had with it was that there was no kiss. For some reason people still expected this, from KyoAni of all people, despite the season starting with them agreeing to take things at their own pace and not let other people force them into something they're uncomfortable with. They do get significantly closer, going from hand holding to nose touching to cheek kissing all the way to open declarations of love, just no actual lip kiss to wrap everything up. That caused a bunch of people to declare the whole thing shit because of their blue balls.
The other divisive factor is the new girl who comes out of nowhere and gets her own, admittedly weak, story arc. People either loved her and thought she might actually win Utah over from the main character or thought she was utter shit taking time away from their precious cute Rikka moments despite being integral to Rikka's character arc. Needless to say, both sides where disappointed in the end.
Unless you're a member of one of the above groups you'll probably like it. It's only real problem is that it tends to section off plot episodes from SoL ones instead of letting the elements mix and the story has more metaphor than sense most of the time. But, hey, it has cute Rikka in it and the Lite episodes are basically perfect, and isn't that why we're here?
