Homura would never allow it.

The irony is that seeing Homura alone and suffering is something Madoka can't bear. Or in other words, seeing Homura suffer is suffering for Madoka. Homura's transformation is largely inspired by Madoka herself being unable to ignore Homura's feelings.

Regardless, this isn't important now. What is important is that the girls have some casual time together. That means they might actually wear something other than their school uniform!

Madoka must wear everything cute she can find!

Madoka's goodness is kind of the driver for Homura changing and becoming so strong. Wanting to remove it is like wanting to remove Homura, in my eyes.

At that point, she had already destroyed her own witch and started transcending to concept/goddess of hope status. The universe was restarting based on her wish, and she was in the process of becoming the law of cycles. In that position, she literally cannot despair. So I think she has to hope, to be optimistic.

Of course, Homura kind of tore Madoka out of that position.

That makes more sense. It might be better to say you'd want her to lose the somewhat unemotional detached "everything will always be okay" state that she sort of had when she was 100% concept/law. More vulnerable and human, less all-knowing god-like optimism. Homura pulling Madoka out of that immaterial, one-with-the-universe, all-seeing position, lets Madoka act more like Madoka again.

Saying things like "broken, lose all hope" is too broad and too harsh. It just sounds like you want her to be broken into pieces and die a slow lonely death.

No it isn't. Only the last panel which isn't even from the same scene or movie is. The other 3 are from the mission where she purposely temporarily misplaced her memories.

I don't think it's possible for Madoka to lose her hope. Considering she literally became a concept that births hope, I doubt it's possible. Hell, in all the past timelines it never happened, not even when she watched Mami murder Kyouko after they were forced to destroy Sayaka's witch. She was always done in by depleting her magic.

Madokami removes the suffering part, the curses that destroy the world. If you watched Rebellion, you'll see that Sayaka and Nagisa can control their witch forms without the suffering.

I know no "Homura heresy" allowed, but if it weren't for her how would Madoka have a drink with her mom? What Homura did it would allow Madoka to do the stuff she also wanted to do as a human. You guys/girls have to look at the cup as half full rather than half empty.

I still hate Rebellion for changing Homura from a tragic heroine to an antiheroine. She was one of the most amazing cases of the former and a shitty case of the latter.

I think her tragic heroine points were played up way too hard by some people. The obnoxious "i cri evrytiem" types who masturbate to how tragic they think Homura is, instead of appreciating how much she's developed and respecting how far she's come. Kind of glad Rebellion wrecks that pathetic pity-party attitude.

With that said, Homura has always been somewhat of an antiheroine in a general way. She was just a god-tier friend to Madoka.
