>>2317717Ah, that mafia artist. I never liked his treatment of Homura. She always seemed to play such a small role, even though she's the one who put in the most work by far in the anime. She was often the joke character, usually portrayed as an overreacting Madoka fan girl.
Meanwhile, Madoka is like a super-perfect cut-throat smug mob-boss(so out of character). She easily beats up/recruits Kyouko, while Homura faints over a small cut Madoka has. She spends all ton of important time with Sayaka, when she could barely relate to or deal with her in the anime. She flirts with Kyouko a ton for some reason. And for some reason she thinks of Mami as some kind of mafia god, instead of the mentally soft girl putting on a strong front(to hold onto her responsibility) as we saw in the anime.
Pic related, it's the artist's portrayal of the characters. His favorites are up front, looking cool or smug. Sayaka is close to Madoka, because this artist thinks of Sayaka as the one closest to Madoka, the one who looks out for her, which is completely untrue from the anime. Homura is in the far back, reduced to a concerned looking housewife, as she often is in that mafia story.
