>>2331488You can ask those kind of questions without my little fan theory, I asked those kind of questions when I was first watching.
I think she's largely uninterested in television or movies because it's an entirely different process. A book is something very simple, flat two-dimensional planes upon which data is directly applied, and data can be directly perceived. It makes sense that her kind would have a natural inclination towards it when their species is basically data and nothing else.
But I think that she would be uninterested in other forms of media because there's a certain social aspect to it. The SOS Brigade went to go see movies during the Endless Eight episodes, and I can only imagine what was going through her head while sitting there looking bored. "I watch people all damn day at school, why should I go to a theater to do this? Fuck this shit." She's not really interested in stories, she's interested in concepts. "Watching people do things" and interacting with each other is boring to her. She's more interested in what concepts and data she can directly extract from books. It would explain why she doesn't have a television in her apartment.
That's just my thoughts on it.
