I remember when season 2 ended my love for anime did too.
(I then started with the light novels and a translator)
Now I occasionally watch Precure or Jewelpet.
Still remember everything from season 1-2 extremely clear and I've never rewatched it.

More recently I did enjoy kaichou wa maid-sama very much when it aired but that's shoujo and probably a few years ago already.
