Kaleid universe Illya is simply the result of Illya not going through the hardships she faces in other universes, and not remembering the ritual, not remembering her entire purpose is to be the holy grail, in other words, if her life had continued to unfold without Iris and Kiritsugu ending the ritual, she would be exactly the same as we see her in Fate, ubw, hf, hollow, etc.
Kuro as an entity is Prisma Illya's sealed up memories of becoming the holy grail, she's a personification of how Illya develops without the change to the holy grail ritual, simply without the life experiences post ritual.
I'm not the same guy and I agree that Kuro deserves her own thread, but appearance aside, Kuro is a lot closer to classic Illya as a character.
