>>2628147I don't mean to chastise a fellow yukifriend, but I can recognize that as a repost from the previous thread. If you really have trouble finding new pictures, I can give you some advice:
>sources to scrounge- Google. Google works wonders, even though it shows the most commonly seen pictures. Look at "related images", and lurk until you find something you've never seen before. When you find an image you like, remember to reverse image search it to see if there's a bigger resolution so you get the best one.
- Boorus. Danbooru, gelbooru, safebooru, zerochan ect ect. You will find tons of high resolution and amazing pictures here(in addition to torrential amounts of porn).
- Obscure websites. When you go through google, sometimes you find a picture hosted on some strange shrine or abandoned foreign imageboard, these places are treasure troves for unseen content because of popularity and language barriers. The biggest place for underground art like this is Pivix, which is hard to navigate since it's a Japanese website. Most new art trickles down from Pivix. Or 2ch, our Japanese ancestor imageboard.

Paint.NET to reduce quality until it's just passable. I do this by opening the image and simply saving it as a .jpg, and gradually notching down the quality until it reads 2.0 MB. The image becomes less than ideal, but it normally doesn't cause any compression artifacts. If an image is so massive that reducing it to 2.0 MB causes noticeable artifacts, I resize it to a more manageable scale.
