In the window of her childhood we got she went from a sad little girl surrounded by her whole school pointing and laughing at her (Complete social outcast in early elementary). To a determined tomboy who just beat the shit out some of those same students from before (probably done taking anyone's shit). To a modified uniform (typical for rebellious teens) wearing girl keeping to herself (hand in pocket) surrounded by a ring of stereotypical delinquent boys in a dilapidated school more likely than not for "bad eggs" (no normal students in the shot), which she is then shown angrily beating the shit out of right afterword wearing whatever the fuck she wanted (done trying to fit into anything, fuck the system age).
Too shy about her appearance at the start to be a swinger with one night stands, too proud to let herself be some gang's bitch. She didn't shy away from fights, tended to get cocky (she probably tended to win fights what with the inhuman strength), but knew when to run (probably never had backup to rely on). Went to a bad school, openly admitted she hated her father at times, no friends that we know of. She even second guessed Mako's motivations to attempt befriending her. She was a delinquent, and alone (it's even in her name, "The abandoned child"). Was still a blushing maiden when it came to nudity after the rough life though.
I would bet she might have wanted to at some point, but literally everyone she met that we see in her past either mocked her or was holding makeshift weapons around her.
She either had a fling we never learn of (anythings possible), got raped at some point (unlikely but due to being inhumanly strong), or was fresh as new laden snow. At least until mom got hands on her.
Or if you believe the tumblr-ites and think the entire show was an allegory for a girl's puberty, Senketsu got her "first blood". Or something.
