Hana was a pro-gamer and even a "professional StarCraft player". At the age of 16, Song became the #1 ranked player in the world and proceeded to go undefeated for the next three years in all competitions. She is also well known for her fierce determination to win games at all costs. In addition, she gained a well-earned reputation for showing no mercy to her opponents.
The South Korean army pleaded with her, along with many other professional gamers who posses the necessary reflexes, to become mech pilots to combat a colossal "omnic" (artificially intelligent robot) that had ravaged the country.
She now aids the group of heroes known as "Overwatch" with her elite mech skills and vast knowledge of geimu. However, she will fearlessly charge into battle alongside the rest of the Mech Pilot unit, ready to spring to her nation's defense at a moment's notice.
