What he said isn't really wrong, alot of it seems to be roleplay and it's questionable how many have actually pulled off the creation of a schism to actually give credence to what they purport. As someone who's read more than their fair share of occultism, I'm not going to paint it with broad strokes and claim it's all hogwash, but fracturing your consciousness in such a manner is much harder than it sounds, not that I'm speaking from personal experience. In part, I figure that many of those who wind such tales do so for the reactions they receive and the assumed envy of their peers. Really, though, it smacks of "new-wave" more than I care to admit. I suppose there is a certain allure to it and it boils down to your subjective take on waifuism anyway.
