Basically, is a specialized grip for specific tasks that many also use outside of said tasks.
Mix the two things (that it is a viable grip with its uses, and that there are people misusing it) and you have a veritable guaranteed flamewar of lovers and haters just by mentioning it in any /k/ thread.
