Anything can be deemed practical in a fantasy setting, but I suppose I have a slight problem with that, too. And that's when it comes down to uniform soldiers.
So the guy has full plate armor and the chick has armor that goes out of its way to off her bust and hips. What's the point? What does her anatomy have to do with murdering people and staying alive? Soldiers should wear what is effective given the setting. If bikini armor is deemed most effective, -everyone- should be wearing it not just the women. Likewise, if the combat gear is deemed effective for the male troops, it should be so for the women as well, with as little alternation to the design as possible.
